Special video clip for “March 8, International Women’s Day” from Presidency’s Directorate of Communications

Presidency’s Directorate of Communications congratulated March 8, International Women’s Day with a specially prepared song and video clip, “Being a Woman”.

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared the song and video clip specially prepared for Women’s Day on his social media account with the following message: “Being a woman means life, means love. Being a woman means effort and hope, honour and pride. Happy March 8, International Women’s Day.”

The song and video clip “Being a woman” underlines the place of women in the family and community life from past to today, as well as the value they add to all spheres of life. 

Story of Women from the War of Independence to July 15, Mothers of Diyarbakır to the Fight against Coronavirus is told

The video clip starts with images of women carrying bullets to the front during the War of Independence and consists of images of women whose relatives were martyred, who challenged the tanks in the coup attempt on July 15, who have been gathering for sit-in protests to demand the return of their children in Diyarbakır and who have been taking part in the fight against coronavirus.

The video clip also features the portraits of successful women from various segments of society in many fields ranging from education to arts, science to health, sports to agriculture, law to defence and security.
