A special event was organised by the Directorate of Communications and TRT for April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
The event, held in the Nation's Garden, was organised for the first time this year with the slogan "We are Running to the Future" for April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day.
The children who spent their time in the playgrounds danced to the songs played by the marching band during the event, whose goal is to encourage children to have a pleasant and fun holiday with their families as well as to encourage them to participate in sports and a healthy lifestyle.
The "Children's Marathon" could not be held in Ankara due to heavy rain.

7-year-old İbrahim Yusuf Özkaya, who stated that he liked sports, particularly running, said he would try all the toys in the field.
Expressing his joy for the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, Özkaya said, "I would like to thank Atatürk for gifting this holiday to children. Happy Children's Day to all children."
Expressing his gratitude to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk for gifting the holiday to children, 10-year-old Başaran Onur Salman said they were very lucky as children.
