Security summit convenes under chairmanship of President Erdoğan

The security summit convened under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to discuss Russia's military intervention in Ukraine.

The summit was attended by Vice President Fuat Oktay, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler, Director of the National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) Hakan Fidan, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Chief of the Cabinet to the President Hasan Doğan, and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu was unable to attend the summit since he is presently in Kazakhstan.

The summit lasted one hour and fifty minutes.
