Prime Minister Sharif of Pakistan will pay a two-day official visit to Türkiye at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdoğan will attend the launching ceremony of PNS Khaibar, the third of four MILGEM Corvette Ships belonging to the Pakistan Navy, at Istanbul Shipyard, where they will engage in extensive discussions on bilateral relations, the regional situations, and other issues of mutual concern. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also meet with leaders of the Turkish business community as part of his visit.
The launching ceremony for the first Corvette for the Pakistan Navy, PNS Babur, took place in İstanbul in August 2021 while the groundbreaking for the second Corvette, PNS Badr, took place in Karachi in May 2022.
