President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a press conference following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.

“We left behind a year marked by turmoil and upheavals within the context of regional developments, and welcomed 2025 with new expectations and great hopes. I pray to Allah that the new year may lead to auspicious developments for all people in our country and region as well as across the world. I particularly hope that the year 2025 will bring ceasefire, peace, serenity and liberation to our brothers and sisters in Gaza, who have been enduring the most atrocious genocide of the last century right before the eyes of the whole world. As Türkiye, we have been exploring all avenues since day one to stop the bloodshed and massacres in Palestine. With the Red Crescent (Kızılay), AFAD, NGOs, and charities, we have been endeavoring in a spirit of full mobilization to alleviate the suffering of the Gazan people. We have also intensified our diplomatic efforts to get the international community to put increased pressure on the Israeli government. We are doing whatever it takes to open a door that will rekindle hopes for peace in Gaza,” President Erdoğan said.
