Delivering remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan, as regards the attacks on Iran, said: “The last 25 days have shown us that although it is Israel’s war, the price is being paid by the whole world. It is Netanyahu’s war to hold on to power, but it is the eight billion who are suffering. The gang of massacre, led by Netanyahu, must immediately be stopped in the name of regional peace and humanity, and all the countries must display a bold and proactive attitude to this end.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks following the Presidential Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex.
Reminding the helicopter crash in Qatar, where seven personnel, four of them Qatari died a martyr’s death, President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, and added: “Just as our terror-free Türkiye process foils a half-century bloody game, our terror-free region ideal thwarts the schemes of those who seek to pit Turks, Kurds, Arabs and Persians against one another. We previously saw this in the developments in the north of Syria, and most recently in the dirty plan sought to be carried out in Iran. Merely looking at these two regional developments is enough to understand the strategical value and accuracy of the vision we displayed 1.5 years ago.”
Drawing attention to the attacks launched against Iran with the pressures of Israel, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye is one of the leading countries that analyze the process the best, and said: “Thanks be to Allah, we have not been deceived in any period of our history. And we are not falling into traps of some circles today as well. We are managing this process by upholding the spirit of brotherhood and neighborhood in a cautious, commonsensical and calm manner. Let me reiterate that we are determined to keep our country out of this circle of fire.”
Stressing that as the war drags on, other complications unfortunately arise, President Erdoğan stated: “The last 25 days have shown us that although it is Israel’s war, the price is being paid by the whole world. It is Netanyahu’s war to hold on to power, but it is the eight billion who are suffering. The gang of massacre, led by Netanyahu, must immediately be stopped in the name of regional peace and humanity, and all the countries must display a bold and proactive attitude to this end. Before further destruction, further bloodshed, further animosity as well as a further damage to global economy, whose compensation will take years, this meaningless and unlawful war should end, the door of dialogue should be opened, and result-oriented negotiations should be immediately launched. Israel’s irreconcilable, maximalist and radical attitude mustn’t be allowed to undermine diplomatic solution avenues. Countries that attach importance to world peace and stability should not add fuel from now on to the fire Israel has unjustly started in our region.”
