President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan issued a message on the occasion of March 14 Doctors’ Day.
President Erdoğan indicated that works were underway to improve the personal rights, working conditions and environments of the health professionals, who worked day and night for the human health, happiness and peace and risked their lives in battlegrounds and disaster areas, to eliminate their security concerns while doing their jobs and to solve all their problems.
Indicating that healthcare services would continue uninterruptedly through increasing the satisfaction of health professionals and enhancing the rights they had, President Erdoğan continued:
"I congratulate the health professionals, who come to the help of people when they feel helpless and in need, whom we trust in with our lives and our loved ones, and who do their jobs devotedly despite all challenges, on Doctors’ Day.”
We are the children of ancestors who regard wellbeing as the greatest happiness in the world. With this understanding, we have been working relentlessly since the day we took office to address the shortcomings, mistakes, and deficiencies of our healthcare system and to provide our people with healthcare services which will set an example for the world."
"We can pay our debt of gratitude only by meeting their expectations"
Erdoğan emphasized once again that they condemned violence against health professionals and that they would never allow it.
Noting that no pain and excuse could justify violence against health professionals, President Erdoğan continued as follows:
"We can only pay our debt of gratitude to the representatives of this noble profession by providing them a safe working environment, showing them the respect they deserve and meeting their expectations.
With these thoughts in mind, I remember with gratitude all the health professionals who passed away while working for a healthy future, particularly those who were martyred while performing their noble profession and wish God’s mercy upon each and every one of them. I thank all health professionals for their services to our nation and humanity, wish for peaceful, safe and healthy days and celebrate Doctors’ Day."
