President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attends Consultation Meeting on Idlib held by non-governmental organizations via phone

Regarding the houses to be built in Idlib, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "In the first stage, we are also promising to build 50 more houses. God willing, we will also contribute to the area by constructing these 50 houses."

While the “Non-governmental Organizations Consultation Meeting on Idlib" held at the headquarters of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) continued, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu called President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and shared information about the meeting.

Erdoğan congratulated the representatives of non-governmental organizations for their efforts regarding the houses under construction in the Idlib region, especially in northwestern Syria, and wished the charitable efforts to be acknowledged.

Underlining that the Turkish nation had so far stood by the poor, the downtrodden and the oppressed not only in Syria but also in various parts of the world, Erdoğan said:

"This nation will, God willing, continue to maintain the same stance. This stance is also of great importance for the struggle we are currently putting up along the border with our neighbour. If we can achieve our goal of completing the construction of houses rapidly during summer and enable our Syrian brothers and sisters to settle there, they will at least be able to spend the winter in these houses, God willing. We will then go beyond the target of 50 thousand houses and continue to raise the number there. Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu has already promised 20 houses. In the first stage, we are also promising to build 50 houses. We will, God willing, contribute to the area by constructing these 50 houses. May Allah grant us the opportunity to relieve our brothers and sisters of the suffering they have been going through."
