President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s special message was integrated into Akıncı UCAV’s embedded software. Akıncı UCAVs, designed and developed nationally and originally, will be deployed for all their missions by the software in which Erdoğan's message is embedded, addressing future generations and leaving a mark in history.
President Erdoğan's special message was integrated into the software embedded in the flight control computer of the Bayraktar Akıncı UCAV before its debut flight on December 6, 2019.
The embedded software also included a translation of the message into "hex code" in computer language.
Bayraktar Akıncı UCAVs will serve the country and the nation for millions of hours in the skies with this message integrated into their software.
President Erdoğan's message in Akıncı UCAV's software is as follows:
"Always further ahead for our independence and future… Türkiye is a country with over two thousand and two hundred years of state experience. We have earned this quality by building the most powerful, advanced, and effective political, economic, and social infrastructure across every era. We have struggled throughout our time in state administration to bring our country up to a level befitting of its historical legacy. We have always kept in mind that the only way to safeguard our faith and generation is to protect our independence and future. We have pledged to elevate Türkiye to be among the world's top countries in every field, with the support of the bridge we built from the past towards the future. We've worked hard to make, particularly our defence industry, self-sufficient. We have focused on the goal of a Türkiye that inspires confidence in its friends while instilling fear in its enemies on land, at sea, in the air, and, inshallah, in space. We have demonstrated to the entire world the Turkish nation's ability to create and operate high-tech systems with this accomplishment.
The BAYRAKTAR range of armed/unarmed unmanned aerial vehicles, developed by Baykar as part of the project run by the Presidency of Defense Industries, is one of the most successful works of these efforts. I wholeheartedly believe that our youth will realise their 2053 and 2071 visions thanks to the solid infrastructure we have built, in every field, from democracy to economy, especially technology.
