President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post regarding his visit to Azerbaijan on his social media account.
In the post, President Erdoğan stated, "We have demonstrated our solidarity by making our first visits to Azerbaijan together with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus after the elections on May 14 and 28. May Allah eternally preserve our dialogue and friendship. Inshallah, the Century of Türkiye will also be the 'century of the Turkic world.'"
President Erdoğan underlined their joint efforts to bolster the institutional capacity of the Organisation of Turkic States and noted:
"Türkiye and Azerbaijan possess a strategic position between East and West. As befitting our brotherhood, our cooperation will deepen in every field, from trade to energy, from the defence industry to transportation. Our region will become much more prosperous right after the signing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia. We are carrying out this dialogue process in full coordination with my brother İlham. We will, inshallah, observe the positive outcomes of these contacts in the near future. On this occasion, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude the National Leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, who left us the motto 'one nation, two states', on the 100th anniversary of his birth. We will continue to develop our relations in every field hand in hand and heart to heart with the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President İlham Aliyev."
