President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account on the occasion of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day.
In his post, President Erdoğan said, "I wish Allah's mercy upon our heroes who were martyred on July 15 while defending their state, nation, independence, and will, and I express my gratitude to all my brothers and sisters who were bestowed with the honourable title of veterans and refused to allow the coup plotters to getaway. May July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day be blessed."
In his post, President Erdoğan also included a photo of the Turkish flag and citizens capturing a tank used by the 15 July coup plotters.
