President Erdoğan’s message on the US-Iran peace agreement

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his NSosyal account regarding the US-Iran peace agreement.

Expressing his sincere hope that this long-awaited news, much needed by the entire world, will pave the way for a lasting environment of peace and security in the region, President Erdoğan made the following remarks:

“I would like to emphasize the importance of refraining from rhetoric, provocations, and actions that could escalate tensions, and of remaining vigilant against possible acts of sabotage until the day the signatures are affixed.

I extend my appreciation to the leaderships of the United States and Iran for their commitment to this process, and particularly to Pakistan for its distinguished mediation efforts, which have contributed significantly to this outcome.

I would also like to express my appreciation for the support provided by Qatar and Saudi Arabia to the diplomatic initiatives that facilitated this progress.

As Türkiye, we will continue to support all efforts to establish peace, stability, and tranquility in our region and contribute to lasting solutions based on diplomacy and international law."

Meanwhile, Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a message on his NSosyal account on the agreement.

In his message, Head of Communications Duran stated:

“We welcome the agreement reached between the United States and Iran with a view to ending tensions and restoring stability in our region.

We hope that this agreement will not only help bring the current crisis to an end but also contribute to the establishment of lasting peace. The restoration of the environment of peace, security, and stability that our region has long needed can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to international law.

Türkiye, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will continue to support all constructive efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.”
