President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye stands ready to intensify its collaborative endeavours with Algeria in pursuit of a long-term ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, continuous provision of humanitarian aid to the area, and a two-state resolution that is equitable.

During the phone call with President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "No matter what, we will stand firm against Israel's barbaric attacks on Gaza and Israel will certainly pay for its cruelty. We must deploy all measures to achieve a ceasefire, including a United Nations Security Council resolution".
President Erdoğan also spoke by phone with Ismail Haniyeh, the Head of Hamas' Political Bureau, during which he extended his condolences to Mr. Haniyeh for his three children and three grandchildren who were martyred in Israel’s attack. President Erdoğan noted that Israel will definitely be held accountable before the law for its crimes against humanity.
Letter from President Erdoğan to Pope Francis, Spiritual Leader of Catholic Christians
Meanwhile, President Erdoğan sent a "letter on Palestine" to Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholic Christians and Head of the State of Vatican City.
In his letter, President Erdoğan stated that humanity must no longer allow international law and international humanitarian law to be trampled on in Gaza.

During the call, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar exchanged Eid al-Fitr greetings. The call addressed the Türkiye-Qatar relations, global and regional issues, Israel’s attacks on Gaza, and the humanitarian situation.
President Erdoğan also stated that it is of vital importance to immediately restrain Israel and act with common sense in order to prevent the tension from spreading across the region.
