While emphasising that the path to lasting peace in the Middle East runs through Gaza, he also highlights the other challenges facing the region. The conflict with Iran and developments in Lebanon are destabilising the region. He mentions the problems caused by the Russia-Ukraine war. He courageously expresses the international system's failure to offer solutions to challenges.
The address does not focus solely on current political issues. It also offers insights into what a more effective international system should look like. Drawing on the present, it offers a vision for the future of humanity. This vision encompasses a range of messages, from “The World Is Bigger Than Five” and the fight against terrorism to climate challenges and the future of artificial intelligence.
