“THE CONTRACTUAL BASIS OF OUR COOPERATION WILL STRENGTHEN WITH THE NEW DOCUMENTS WE WILL SIGN”
Praising the development of the close dialogue and cooperation on the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Ankara and Abu Dhabi, President Erdoğan stated that the joint agreement to be signed during the visit would elevate the bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership.
President Erdoğan said: “We will ensure that our relations are approached regularly at the highest level through the High-Level Strategic Council mechanism. We find it beneficial to organize a Trade and Investment Forum in the autumn in Istanbul to introduce the agreement to our business world. The contractual basis of our cooperation will strengthen with the new documents we will sign. We want to strengthen the legal infrastructure in areas such as investment promotion, security, renewable energy, and transportation.”
The UAE’s participation in the international exercise, Anatolian Eagle, with four F-16s and 80 personnel is a tangible example of the relations in defense industry, noted President Erdoğan, adding that he was also pleased with the interest shown to the Turkish firms during the IDEX and NAVDEX defense exhibition held in Abu Dhabi.
Pointing out that the International Defense Industry Fair IDEF, scheduled to be hosted in Istanbul on July 25-28, would advance the two countries’ existing cooperation, President Erdoğan extended his appreciation for being invited as a guest of honor to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.
Voicing his desire to crown the bilateral cooperation with the inauguration of the Turkish Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi this year, President Erdoğan wished for the agreements signed and the decisions taken during his visit to lead to auspicious developments.
