President Erdoğan welcomed with an official ceremony at Youth Palace in Azerbaijan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Baku for an official visit, was welcomed with an official ceremony by President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

President Aliyev of Azerbaijan greeted President Erdoğan as he got out of his official car for the welcoming ceremony held at the Youth Palace. 

The national anthems of both countries were played after President Erdoğan and President Aliyev had taken their places at the parade ground.

Watching the military parade, President Erdoğan saluted the guard of honor with his counterpart Aliyev. 

Following the introduction of delegations and watching the military parade, President Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan Aliyev headed for a tête-à-tête meeting. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, AK Party Deputy Chairs Mahir Ünal and Efkan Ala, AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın were also present at the ceremony.
