President and Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "We have obtained the highest export figures in the Republic's history on a monthly, quarterly, and 6-month basis. By accelerating this momentum in the following six months, we will turn 2021 into a year of records for our country, particularly in foreign trade."
President Erdoğan stated that cities have been embellished and that major road, energy, and housing projects have been undertaken, and noted the following:
"We are breaking records in exports, production, and industry while maintaining economic stability in the face of all the attacks we have faced. The June export results, released today, once again demonstrated Türkiye's manufacturing capabilities and the private sector's dynamism. In June, our exports surged by 47 per cent to 19.8 billion dollars, compared to the same month of the previous year.
Our exports for the first half of the year surged by 40 per cent over the same period last year, reaching 105 billion dollars. Our 12-month export value reached a new high of 199 billion 567 million dollars. These are the figures for the six-month period. With Allah's permission, at this rate, we will break record until the end of the year. As a result, we have obtained the highest export figures in the Republic's history on a monthly, quarterly, and 6-month basis. Again, I would like to thank our companies and exporters for helping Türkiye further gain strength by working, producing, and exporting. By accelerating this momentum in the following six months, we will turn 2021 into a year of records for our country, particularly in foreign trade."
President Erdoğan noted that as their services in each province have grown exponentially, they have also cemented Türkiye's status on a global scale as a powerful, reputable country with a respected voice.
President Erdoğan added, "Even only what has been experienced during the one-and-a-half-year coronavirus timeframe is enough to showcase the distances our country has covered since 2002. Thanks be to Allah, Türkiye has been one of the countries in the world to have successfully managed the pandemic, which has been dubbed the worst health disaster of the century. We did not allow a vacuum or chaos to emerge in any area, from health care to supply chains, public order to social welfare programs, manufacturing to education."
