President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and members of the Supreme Military Council visited Anıtkabir (Atatürk’s Mausoleum) before the meeting of the Supreme Military Council.
Laying a wreath at the mausoleum, the President wrote the following in the Anıtkabir Special Book:
“August Atatürk, we stand in your presence as the members of the Supreme Military Council on the occasion of the 2022 meeting. I remember Your Excellency and our heroic martyrs with mercy and wish our council meeting to lead to auspicious developments. The Republic of Türkiye, entrusted to us by you, continues its rise as an embodiment of stability and confidence during a period plagued by hot conflicts. Our brave military instills confidence in our nation with its sense of duty and discipline as well as its increasing deterrence in every area and commitment to democratic principles. The outstanding achievements obtained on various fronts from the fight against terror to cross-border operations openly demonstrate the Turkish Armed Forces’ strength, efficacy and capabilities. May you rest in peace.”
