President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan: “In July, we released the 4th National Action Plan on Combating Violence against Women and determined five key objectives, 28 strategies and 227 actions.”
In a post he shared on his social media account on the occasion of the "November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women," President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye is one of the top countries with the most comprehensive and effective legislation addressing the issue of violence against women.”
Emphasising that violence against women, which is a violation of human rights, is, unfortunately, a global issue, President Erdoğan said, "I hope that November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women will contribute to the complete eradication of this problem, which our faith, civilisation, and values oppose."
President Erdoğan informed that they released the 4th National Action Plan on Combating Violence against Women last July, and they determined five key objectives, 28 strategies and 227 actions. Stating that all necessary legislative and administrative measures would be taken in response to the changing conditions and emerging demands, President Erdoğan noted the following:
“My august nation… We must never forget that combating violence against women is also a struggle to safeguard the rights, law and honour of our mothers, wives and daughters. With the belief, effort, and agreement of all parties, this problem can be eradicated.
We have stood by women in their struggle for rights in all areas, and we will continue to do so in the future. Hopefully, we will completely eradicate violence against women by strengthening our humanitarian and moral values. We are determined.”
