President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went to Iraq for official visits.
As part of his one-day visit, President Erdoğan will meet with President Abdullatif Rashid and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in Baghdad. Erdogan and Sudani will hold a joint press conference and agreements will be signed between the two countries. President Erdoğan will later visit Erbil within the framework of his contacts.
Banners saying "We are honored by your visit" in Turkish and Arabic were placed on the streets of Baghdad where the Sheikh Abdulkadir Geylani's tomb is located. Iraqi and Turkish flags were also featured side by side on the banners.
Turkish flags were hung on the streets and avenues in Erbil, and the image of the Turkish flag was projected on the Erbil Castle.
