President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the first stop of his Balkan tour, at 10.50 local time.
President Erdoğan was seen off by Vice President Fuat Oktay, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, and other officials at Esenboğa Airport.
President Erdoğan is accompanied on his trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina by First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Vahit Kirişci, Minister of Trade Mehmet Muş, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, AK Party Acting Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, AK Party Headquarter Women’s Branches Chairwoman Ayşe Keşir, President of Religious Affairs Prof. Ali Erbaş, Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın, President of Defence Industries İsmail Demir, President of the Higher Education Institution Prof. Erol Özvar.
President Erdoğan will attend a joint press conference after holding tete-a-tete and inter-delegation meetings with the members of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidential Council.
After attending the official lunch to be held in his honour by the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, President Erdoğan will receive the Members of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
President Erdoğan will attend the Business Forum after visiting the tomb of Alija Izetbegovic, the first President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the new building of the Islamic Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Riyaset).
