President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is going to depart for Samarkand, Uzbekistan, tomorrow to attend the 9th Summit of the Organisation of Turkic States.
The term presidency will be handed over from Türkiye to Uzbekistan during the Summit held with the theme of "New Era for Turkic Civilization: Towards Common Development and Prosperity".
At the Summit, important decisions will be taken regarding the functioning and future of the Organisation, especially the "Strategy Document", which will constitute the first 5-year implementation guide of the Vision Document, adopted at the İstanbul Summit on November 12, 2021, and laying out the 20-year roadmap of the Organisation.
On Friday, November 11, President Erdoğan will address the Summit, which will examine the steps to be taken to enhance cooperation among member states in all spheres.
It is anticipated that President Erdoğan will conduct bilateral meetings with the other attending leaders during the Summit.
