President Erdoğan to assess the Summit

Presidency’s Director of Communications Prof. Fahrettin Altun stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will hold a press conference today, during which he will evaluate the report of UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions, Agnes Callamard, concerning the murder of Saudi journalist Cemal Kaşıkçı.

On his Twitter account, Prof. Altun recalled that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will hold a press conference today in Osaka, Japan, to make assessments on the G20 summit.

In his tweets, Altun said: “We would like to thank Japan for hosting this successful and timely event, which concentrated on trade wars and protectionism among other issues.

The President will also address the most recent developments regarding the murder of Saudi journalist Cemal Kaşıkçı, including the UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions Agnes Callamard’s report, in his closing statement.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held tête-à-tête meetings with world leaders, including U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the margins of this year’s summit. He will reflect on those meetings at today’s press conference.”
