President Erdoğan spoke by phone with the new Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
During the conversation, President Erdoğan wished Allah’s mercy upon the late Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, by whose passing he was deeply saddened, and extended his condolences to the late Emir’s family and the people of Kuwait.
President Erdoğan stated that the late Emir’s outstanding efforts for peace and stability in the region as well as his exceptional contributions to Kuwait’s prosperity and development will always be remembered with appreciation.
Congratulating Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on becoming the new Emir of Kuwait, President Erdoğan expressed his wish for the further development of the excellent relations between Turkey and Kuwait, which derive their strength from long-standing historical and cultural ties.
President Erdoğan voiced his belief that close cooperation between the two countries would also contribute to establishing a climate of peace and stability in the region.
