President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on his social media account on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
In his post, President Erdoğan stated:
"Today, just as Ghazi wished, the Republic of Türkiye is a country that 'protects the unprotected' in its region and in the world. #TürkiyeYüzyılı (#CenturyofTürkiye)
From the Balkans to the Caucasus, from Karabakh to Africa, and from Turkestan to Palestine, wherever oppressed, victimised, and destitute people are weeping, it is Türkiye that rushes to their aid, holds their hands, lifts them up, and remedies their afflictions.
We have previously demonstrated this stand in Korea, Cyprus, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Yemen, and most recently in Karabakh.
Today, we display the same sagacious stand for Palestine and Gaza, regarding which Ghazi said, "No one can lay their hands on", and we try to help the people of Gaza.
The Great Palestine Rally, which took place the day before with the participation of more than 1.5 million people, was a part of this.
Even though certain people who have no historical consciousness, who are unaware of Mustafa Kemal's endeavours, and who do not comprehend why the Republic was founded seek other motives, we did not only demonstrate our solidarity with Palestine on that day.
We also celebrated the spirit of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal on the 100th anniversary of our Republic with that magnificent unity at Atatürk Airport.
"Hopefully, we will continue to be the 'protector of the unprotected' without any discrimination."
