President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan responded to the social media post of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, with whom he spoke on the phone following the earthquake in the Aegean Sea.
Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis shared a post on Twitter regarding the phone call he had with President Erdoğan about the earthquake in the Aegean Sea.
Quoting the message of Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis on Twitter, President Erdoğan stated the following in his post:
“Thank you, Mr Prime Minister. I offer my condolences to all of Greece on behalf of myself and the Turkish people. Turkey, too, is always ready to help Greece heal its wounds. That two neighbours show solidarity in difficult times is more valuable than many things in life.”
Noting that he had just called President Erdoğan to offer his condolences for the tragic loss of life from the earthquake that struck both countries, Mitsotakis said the following in his post on Twitter: “Whatever our differences, these are times when our people need to stand together.”
