The call between President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Isaac Herzog of Israel addressed Türkiye-Israel relations and regional issues.
Underscoring that the Türkiye-Israel relations were important in terms of the security and stability of the Middle East as well, President Erdoğan noted that the differences of opinion could be minimized if acted with mutual understanding in both bilateral and regional issues.
Stressing that it was a must to restore peace, tolerance and a culture of coexistence in the region, President Erdoğan said that it was a priority, to this end, to enhance the Palestine-Israel relations and restart the peace process.
President Erdoğan further noted it was mutually beneficial to maintain talks and dialogue between Türkiye and Israel.
Israel's statement
According to a statement by the Israeli Presidency, President Isaac Herzog of Israel called President Erdoğan.
The statement indicated that the phone call was conducted in a positive tone and reiterated President Erdoğan's emphasis on the importance of Turkish-Israeli relations to the security and stability of the Middle East.
It was stated that Herzog welcomed the comprehensive dialogue with Türkiye on bilateral and regional issues related to regional peace.
It was noted that the two leaders agreed to remain in contact.
