President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan observed the "International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression" by posting a message on his social media account.
"On the occasion of the 'International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression,' I mourn the loss of over 15,000 children who have been brutally slaughtered in Gaza since October 7," noted President Erdoğan, adding:
"Not only babies and children but humanity as a whole is being massacred in Gaza. Unfortunately, humanity has failed the test. I urge the United Nations, which designated this day of observance, to take meaningful action against the months-long bombing of innocent children in Gaza, and to act with the realisation that the world is bigger than five.
I urge all states to safeguard the honour and dignity of mankind, as well as the children of Gaza, and to take a firm stance against Israeli savagery that is spiralling out of control. As Türkiye, we will continue to extend our helping hand wherever there is a person who is oppressed, victimised, or in need anywhere in the world, particularly in Gaza; where children are killed and face hunger and poverty, and we will continue to work hard in the belief that a fairer world is possible."
