President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent a message to the 5th Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly of SAHA Istanbul, Europe's largest industrial, aviation and aerospace organisation.
Noting in his message that he extends his most heartfelt greetings to the 5th Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly of SAHA Istanbul, President Erdoğan said that SAHA Istanbul, one of the most important supporters of the National Technology Initiative and Europe's largest industrial organisation, has made significant contributions to Türkiye's technology development capacity with its 938 members and 26 universities.
Stressing that with the transformation they have made in the defence industry over the past two decades, they have placed high-tech indigenous and national systems at the disposal of the army, as well as for the use of friendly and allied countries, President Erdoğan added:
"Türkiye now is a country that has a voice in the world with the advent of game-changing technologies. I observe that our large defence and industrial companies and universities, as well as our small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are the industry's primary driving forces, have significantly contributed to these developments. I congratulate SAHA Istanbul on its successful effort, which has contributed to this transformation in the defence industry by bringing together our defence industry companies, universities, and SMEs under a single umbrella. On this occasion, I hope the 5th Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly of SAHA Istanbul to be auspicious, and I wish all participants health, peace, and prosperity."
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Şentop also sent a message
In his message to the general assembly, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye Mustafa Şentop also thanked SAHA Istanbul officials for inviting him to the event.
Noting that he was unable to attend the general assembly meeting due to the already scheduled programmes in Ankara, Şentop said:
"I congratulate the 5th Ordinary Meeting of the General Assembly of SAHA Istanbul Defence, Aviation and Aerospace Organisation, which advances our national capabilities and provides a centre for project production in our defence industry. Your effort is valuable, and I wish that your effort will be auspicious; I hope that you will provide many more beneficial services to our country and nation through the projects developed here. I extend my most heartfelt greetings to our esteemed guests who have gathered for this special occasion."
