President Erdoğan returns home

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia, where he had been attending the BRICS Summit.

Seeing President Erdoğan off at Kazan International Airport were First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin of Tatarstan, Mayor Ilsur Metshin of Kazan, Türkiye's Ambassador to Russia Tanju Bilgiç, and officials from the Turkish Embassy in Moscow and Consulate General in Kazan.

Along with President Erdoğan, First Lady Emine Erdoğan and the accompanying delegation departed Tatarstan.

Following his arrival, President Erdoğan will chair a security meeting at the Atatürk Airport State Guesthouse.

The meeting will be attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Chief of General Staff General Metin Gürak, Director of the National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) İbrahim Kalın, Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun, President of the Defence Industry Agency (SSB) Haluk Görgün, Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and AK Party Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson Ömer Çelik.
