President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan departed Baku after concluding his meetings at the World Leaders Climate Summit of the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations (UN) Framework Convention on Climate Change.
President Erdoğan departed from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to Ankara at 5:00 p.m., and he was bid farewell by Türkiye's Ambassador to Baku, Cahit Bağcı, and his wife, Leyla Bağcı, Azerbaijan Task Group Commander Lieutenant General Bahtiyar Ersay, and Military Attaché Major General Gaffar Gören.
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin and other officials greeted President Erdoğan at Esenboğa Airport.
Along with President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organisation of Turkic States Binali Yıldırım, Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun, Director of National Intelligence Organisation (MİT) İbrahim Kalın, and Chief Advisor to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç also arrived in Ankara.
