President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has departed from Brussels, Belgium's capital, upon concluding the Extraordinary Summit of NATO Heads of State and Government and bilateral talks.
Among those who bid President Erdoğan farewell at Brussels Melsbroek Airport were Türkiye's Permanent Representative to NATO Basat Öztürk, Türkiye's Permanent Representative to the EU Mehmet Kemal Bozay, Ambassador to Brussels Hasan Ulusoy, Military Representative of Türkiye to NATO Maj. Gen. İsmail Üner, Consul General in Brussels Umut Deniz, Consul General in Antwerp Batu Keskin, Military Attaché Colonel Çağrı Sarıoğlu, and other officials.
The plane with President Erdoğan and his accompanying delegate on board touched down at Atatürk Airport. President Erdoğan was greeted by the governor of Istanbul Ali Yerlikaya, and other authorities at the airport.
In addition to President Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar, Justice and Development (AK) Party Deputy Chairman and Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, Head of the Turkish Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) and AK Party Rize Deputy Osman Aşkın Bak, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın also arrived in Istanbul.
