President Erdoğan responds to journalists’ questions about agenda at Parliament

Concerning the agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh between Azerbaijan and Armenia, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, "Whatever understanding is adopted by Russia to take place there, our observation and command teams will be present there with the same understanding."

President Erdoğan responded to journalists’ questions about the agenda at the Parliament following his party’s parliamentary group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT).

When asked the question of "What status will the Turkish military have in Karabakh? What kind of a mechanism will it use to operate with Russia? Are there any patrolling activities planned, or will the Turkish military not be on the ground or conduct only headquarters-based operations?" President Erdoğan replied, "Whatever understanding is currently adopted by Russia to take place there, our observation and command  teams will be present there with the same understanding. In fact, Russia has already initiated deployments in certain locations in the region. The talks may be held between our foreign ministers, as well as with a delegation coming here from Russia."
