President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Turkey’s Women’s Under-19 National Volleyball Team, which won the gold medal at the 2020 Women’s Junior European Volleyball Championship.
During the reception held at the Vahdettin Mansion, Erdoğan held a conversation with the players and the technical delegation that visited him with the championship cup and he congratulated the National Team for its success.
The National Team’s technical delegation presented Erdoğan the championship medal and the volleyball signed by the team players as a gift.
Youth and Sports Minister, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu was also present at the reception.
The crescent-star team became the champion by beating Serbia with a score of 3-2 in the final match in Zenica, Bosnia, and Herzegovina on August 30, during which a great competition was performed.
After the reception, President of the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) Hidayet Türkoglu presented a book about the history of Turkish basketball to President Erdoğan.
