President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh of the Government of National Unity of Libya at the Presidential Complex.
During the meeting, Türkiye-Libya relations, the latest developments in Libya, Israel's attacks on Palestinian territories, as well as regional and global problems, were discussed.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that relations between Türkiye and Libya continue to develop in all fields, that it would be beneficial to start a dialogue process to ensure unity and solidarity in Libya by protecting the legitimacy of the Government of National Unity of Libya, and that Türkiye is willing to provide support in this regard.
During a meeting on energy cooperation between Türkiye and Libya, President Erdoğan stated that the two countries should be in close contact to protect their common interests in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Expressing his appreciation for Libya's support for the Palestinian cause, President Erdoğan stated that he supported Libya's decision to intervene in the genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice, much like Türkiye's.
