President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received President Nechirvan Barzani of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (IKRG) on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The meeting addressed Türkiye-Iraq relations, cooperation with the IKRG, as well as regional and global issues.
Stating that the swift completion of the government formation process in Northern Iraq is essential for the region’s stability, President Erdoğan noted that Türkiye is closely following the situation in Kirkuk.
Highlighting the importance of solidarity between Türkiye and the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government in the fight against terrorist organizations, President Erdoğan expressed that Türkiye wishes for the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government to benefit from the Development Road Project to the greatest extent possible.
