President Erdoğan receives Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iran and Russia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov of Russia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan of Armenia, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi of Iran, who are in Türkiye for the 3+3 Regional Cooperation Platform meeting, at Dolmabahçe Presidential Office.

During the meeting, the permanent peace process in the South Caucasus and regional and global issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan emphasised that Türkiye values the platform established for addressing regional issues through dialogue, expressing satisfaction with the positive transformations occurring in the South Caucasus as it moves towards enduring peace.

Emphasising Türkiye's commitment to offering comprehensive support for the pursuit of enduring peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, President Erdoğan noted that recent developments in the region underscore the importance of enhancing cooperation and solidarity and expressed that transforming the platform into an institutional structure would enhance the effectiveness of the dialogue mechanism.

President Erdoğan stated that Israel is engaged in provocations to escalate regional conflicts, that each day that passes without a ceasefire brings us closer to a regional war, that an arms embargo on Israel at the United Nations would be an effective measure to end Israeli aggression, and that Türkiye will remain steadfast in advocating for this on all platforms.

President Erdoğan was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun, and Chief Advisor to the President Ambassador Akif Çağatay Kılıç during the meeting.
