President Erdoğan, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson of Sweden talk over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson of Sweden.

The call addressed the Türkiye-Sweden relations.

President Erdoğan congratulated Mr. Kristersson on becoming the new Prime Minister of Sweden.

Touching upon the letter Prime Minister Kristersson sent him on October 19, President Erdoğan said he would be happy to welcome Kristersson in Ankara.

President Erdoğan said that Türkiye stands ready to advance the bilateral relations with the Swedish government in all areas.

Noting that Ankara is following Prime Minister Kristersson's statements of commitment to the Trilateral Memorandum, President Erdoğan said that the Trilateral Memorandum would serve as a guide in the period ahead.

President Erdoğan stressed that it would be of common benefit to prevent Sweden's bilateral relations with Türkiye and its membership to NATO from being taken hostage by terrorist organizations.
