President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary and congratulated him on his fourth electoral victory.
The call addressed the Türkiye-Hungary relations as well as the regional developments, including the Russia-Ukraine war.
Congratulating Prime Minister Orbán on his fourth electoral victory, President Erdoğan expressed his wish for the election results to yield auspicious developments for the friendly and allied people of Hungary.
President Erdoğan voiced his belief that they would further enhance in the new period the bilateral relations, which draw their strength from a common history and culture, and stressed that it was in the common interest of the two countries to maintain the momentum achieved in defense industry and expand the scope of cooperation.
President Erdoğan also told about Türkiye’s intensive diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace between Russia and Ukraine.
