President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada.
The leaders discussed the Türkiye-Canada bilateral relations, as well as regional and global matters.
President Erdoğan stated that we have been working to upgrade the Türkiye-Canada relations in many areas, particularly trade, security, defense industry and energy, and that we will continue to take steps in this direction.
President Erdoğan expressed his hope that the upcoming NATO Leaders’ Summit in Türkiye will lead to stronger cooperation among the allies.
President Erdoğan also wished a Happy Canada Day to Prime Minister Carney.
