President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine.
The leaders discussed regional and global issues as well as the Türkiye-Ukraine bilateral relations.
Stating that the conflicts in Iran should not hinder the quest for peace in Ukraine, and that continuing negotiations without any delay will be beneficial, President Erdoğan underscored the importance of healing the wounds of Ukraine, beginning reconstruction works and ensuring lasting security.
Stressing that the safety of navigation in the Black Sea is of critical importance to Türkiye, President Erdoğan noted that the establishment of a ceasefire, which will ensure the protection of energy infrastructures and ports, will contribute to building trust between the parties, adding that Türkiye will do its utmost to that end.
