President Erdoğan and President Zelensky of Ukraine spoke on the phone.
During a meeting where Russia-Ukraine war developments were discussed, President Erdoğan proposed the formation of a commission comprised of experts from the warring parties, the United Nations, and the international community, including Türkiye, to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the explosion at the Kakhovka Dam.
Noting that Türkiye is willing to do everything possible in this regard, President Erdoğan suggested a negotiation strategy similar to the grain corridor could be employed.
President Erdoğan stated it would be impossible to prevent ongoing human losses as long as the conflicts continue and that they would resolutely continue their efforts to establish a just peace, emphasising that the option of resuming negotiations should be preferred.
