President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan.
Steps to further advance the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan relations and regional matters were discussed during the call.
President Japarov wished a happy Victory Day to Türkiye and President Erdoğan congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the 30th anniversary of its independence.
Noting that Türkiye was the first to recognize the independence of Kyrgyzstan 30 years ago and to open an embassy in Bishkek, President Erdoğan said that Türkiye would continue to support the brotherly Kyrgyzstan's stability, prosperity and development.
Voicing his satisfaction over the development and institutionalization of the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan relations in all areas over the past 30 years, President Erdoğan also highlighted that 2021 was the 10th anniversary of the elevation of the bilateral relations up to the level of strategic partnership.
President Erdoğan expressed his belief that the strategic cooperation between Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan, which derived its strength from shared language, religion, culture and history, would further strengthen.
The two leaders agreed on continuing to take steps that would further deepen the Türkiye-Kyrgyzstan relations.
