President Erdoğan, President Putin of Russia talk over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

The call addressed Türkiye-Russia relations and regional developments.

Expressing his pleasure that the flights from Russia to Türkiye had resumed as of June 22, President Erdoğan stated that the steps that would be taken to achieve the goal of 100-billion-dollar trade volume between Türkiye and Russia would be discussed at the Joint Economic Commission Meeting planned to be held in Moscow on July 30.

Noting that during his visit to Shusha, he had witnessed in person the destruction caused by Armenians in the region, President Erdoğan stressed that Armenia should from now on focus on peace and cooperation and that the Trilateral Communiques should completely be implemented.

Further pointing out that the regime had increased its violations on the ground in Syria, President Erdoğan said the PKK/YPG had intensified its terror attacks as could be seen from the attack they had carried out on a hospital in Afrin, and that the terrorist presence in the region posed a serious threat to security.
