President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with President Vladimir Putin of Russia.
During the conversation, steps that would improve relations between Türkiye-Russia as well as cooperation in the fight against Covid-19 and regional issues were discussed.
President Erdoğan voiced Türkiye's expectation that the shipment of Sputnik V vaccine, which is set to be delivered from Russia to Türkiye, would be carried out as planned pursuant to the agreement made.
President Erdoğan expressed great pleasure over the addition of vaccine production to the many fields of cooperation established by the two countries.
Underlining the significance of Turkish-Russian cooperation for the establishment of lasting stability in Syria, President Erdoğan noted that the regional normalisation and stability process should be used effectively for the Upper Karabakh issue.
