President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan.
The call addressed the Türkiye-Uzbekistan bilateral relations as well as regional and global matters.
President Erdoğan stated that relations between the two countries continue to deepen day by day, recalling that a new roadmap was established following the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting held in January.
President Erdoğan expressed his hope that this momentum will continue through the meetings to be held during his upcoming visit to Uzbekistan at the earliest opportunity.
Recalling that decisions to strengthen the Family Council were adopted at the Informal Summit of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Turkistan in May, President Erdoğan voiced their desire to further expand these decisions at the OTS Summit to be held in Ankara on October 29-30.
President Erdoğan invited President Mirziyoyev to the COP31 Climate Summit, which will be held in Antalya on November 11-12, and wished him a happy birthday.
