President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Emmanuel Macron of France.
The call addressed relations between Türkiye and France as well as regional and global matters.
Pointing out the importance of protecting Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty, President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction with France's decision to reopen its embassy in Syria.
President Erdoğan added that work for the return of Syrian refugees to their country has begun and that the international community should cooperate to facilitate sustainable conditions that will enable Syrians to reside there and to carry out reconstruction and amelioration works.
