President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan.
The leaders discussed regional and global issues as well as the Türkiye-Pakistan bilateral relations.
President Erdoğan said Türkiye’s peace-oriented efforts concerning the conflicts in the region continue, and that they will keep taking steps aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Underscoring that Türkiye attaches importance to Pakistan’s peace and security, President Erdoğan noted that they will continue to work together for lasting stability. The leaders also exchanged views on the latest situation in Afghanistan.
President Erdoğan stressed that it is impossible for Türkiye to accept the harassments against Al-Aqsa Mosque, our first qibla, adding that the Islamic world cannot remain silent to them, either.
President Erdoğan also wished Eid al-Fitr Mubarak to Prime Minister Sharif.
