President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in New York for the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with State President Luong Cuong of Vietnam at the Turkish House.
The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Vietnam, as well as regional issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that relations between Türkiye and Vietnam could be further advanced to elevate their level, underlining the need to increase trade volume between the two countries.
President Erdoğan also emphasized that Türkiye and Vietnam are eager to enhance their cooperation on international and regional platforms.
Noting that Türkiye is making significant efforts to establish a just and lasting peace in Gaza, President Erdoğan expressed his satisfaction at seeing Vietnam on the right side of history regarding the Palestinian cause.
