President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is in Egypt for the “Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit,” met with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The meeting addressed Türkiye-UAE bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that the development of political relations between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates has contributed to cooperation in trade and investment, and that efforts continue to achieve further progress in other areas, particularly in the defence industry.
President Erdoğan further noted that Türkiye is endeavouring to end the genocide in Gaza, that a window of opportunity for lasting peace has emerged, and that it is essential to seize the opportunity.
Pointing out the necessity for the ceasefire agreement to be fully implemented, President Erdoğan stressed the significance of uninterrupted humanitarian aid to be delivered to Gaza as well as reconstruction efforts to be launched without delay.
